Here’s a classic Cobb Salad recipe — fresh, hearty, and packed with flavor. 🥗🍗🥓 It’s perfect for lunch, dinner, or even a light yet filling meal.

🥗 Classic Cobb Salad

Ingredients

Serves 4

For the salad:

  • 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce (or a mix of romaine + mixed greens)

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced (grilled or roasted)

  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped

  • 1 avocado, diced

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • ½ cup crumbled blue cheese (or feta, if preferred)

  • ½ cup cucumber, diced (optional)

  • 2 green onions, sliced (optional)

For the dressing: (classic red wine vinaigrette or creamy version)

  • 3 tbsp red wine vinegar

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • ½ cup olive oil

  • Salt & pepper to taste
(Optional creamy variation: mix ¼ cup mayonnaise, 2 tbsp sour cream, 1 tbsp red wine vinegar, salt, pepper, and a pinch of garlic powder)

Instructions

1. Prepare the ingredients

  • Cook chicken and bacon ahead of time, chop as needed.

  • Hard-boil the eggs, peel, and chop.

  • Dice avocado, halve tomatoes, slice green onions, crumble cheese.

2. Make the dressing

  1. Whisk vinegar and mustard together.

  2. Slowly whisk in olive oil until emulsified.

  3. Season with salt and pepper.
(Or mix creamy version ingredients until smooth.)

3. Assemble the salad

  1. Lay the chopped lettuce on a large platter or in a bowl.

  2. Arrange the chicken, bacon, eggs, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, and cheese in rows or sections on top of the lettuce.

  3. Drizzle dressing over the salad (or serve on the side).

4. Serve

  • Toss lightly if desired, or let everyone pick their ingredients individually.

🌟 Tips

  • Use leftover roasted chicken for quick prep.

  • For a lighter version, swap blue cheese for feta or goat cheese.

  • Add corn, bell peppers, or radishes for extra crunch and color.

  • Cobb salad is great for meal prep: store components separately and assemble when ready to eat.

I can also give a grilled chicken Cobb with bacon vinaigrette version — slightly smoky and restaurant-style — if you want a fancier twist.

Do you want me to provide that version?
