Classic comfort food incoming 😌 This crockpot Salisbury steak is cozy, low-effort, and basically makes its own gravy.
🥩 Crockpot Salisbury Steak
Ingredients (4 servings):
- 1–1½ lb ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
For the gravy:
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional but great)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire.
- Shape into oval patties (about 4–6).
- (Optional but tasty) Quickly brown patties in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side.
- Place patties in the crockpot. Add mushrooms on top.
- In a bowl, whisk beef broth, gravy mix, ketchup, and Worcestershire.
- Pour sauce over patties.
- Cook:
- LOW: 6–7 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
- Stir gently before serving so patties get coated in gravy.
Serve with: mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles 🥔🍚
Extra tip: If gravy is thin, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water, stir in, and cook 15 more minutes on HIGH.
