Kentucky Fried Chicken Coleslaw

KFC Coleslaw (Copycat Recipe)

Ingredients

Slaw

  • 8 cups finely chopped green cabbage
  • ¼ cup finely grated carrot
  • 2 tbsp finely minced onion

Dressing

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 2½ tbsp lemon juice
  • 1½ tbsp white vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Vegetables
    • Finely chop cabbage (almost minced).
    • Grate carrot very fine.
    • Mince onion until tiny.
  2. Make the Dressing
    • In a bowl, whisk mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Combine
    • Pour dressing over vegetables.
    • Stir until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Chill (Important!)
    • Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours (overnight is even better).
  5. Serve
    • Stir before serving. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
