Yesss 😍 cheesy stuffed buns are pure comfort—soft, fluffy bread with melty cheese inside. Perfect as a snack, side, or party food. Here’s an easy, bakery-style recipe.

Cheesy Stuffed Buns

Ingredients (makes 10–12 buns)

Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk (not hot)
  • 3 tbsp melted butter or oil

Filling

  • 1½ cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix)
  • Optional: garlic powder, Italian seasoning, or chopped jalapeños

Topping

  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Optional: garlic powder, parsley, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Make the Dough
    • In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
    • Add warm milk and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
    • Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Cover and let rise 1 hour, until doubled in size.
  2. Shape the Buns
    • Punch down dough and divide into equal balls.
    • Flatten each ball, place 1–2 tbsp cheese in the center.
    • Pinch edges tightly to seal and roll into a smooth bun.
  3. Second Rise
    • Place buns seam-side down on a lined baking sheet.
    • Cover and let rise 20–30 minutes.
  4. Bake
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Brush buns with melted butter.
    • Bake 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Finish
    • Brush hot buns with more butter.
    • Sprinkle with garlic, herbs, or sesame seeds if desired.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra cheesy: Mix cream cheese with shredded cheese for a gooey center.
  • Stuffed dinner rolls: Add cooked bacon bits or herbs inside.
  • Quick version: Use refrigerated biscuit dough—stuff, seal, and bake!
  • Freezer-friendly: Freeze baked buns and reheat when needed.

If you want, I can give you a garlic-butter pull-apart cheesy bun version or a stuffed bun with meat and cheese that’s amazing for lunch 😏
