Garlic Cheese Pizza

Ingredients (1 large pizza)

Dough

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Garlic Sauce

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream (optional, for creamier sauce)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Cheese

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded provolone or Monterey Jack
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan

Optional Toppings

  • Fresh parsley or basil
  • Extra Parmesan
  • Garlic powder or roasted garlic

Instructions

  1. Prep Oven
    • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
    • If using a pizza stone, preheat it too.
  2. Prepare Dough
    • Roll or stretch dough into a 12–14 inch circle.
    • Place on a pizza pan or parchment.
  3. Make Garlic Sauce
    • Melt butter over low heat.
    • Add garlic and cook 30–45 seconds (do not brown).
    • Stir in olive oil, cream (if using), salt, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Assemble Pizza
    • Brush garlic sauce evenly over dough (leave a small border).
    • Sprinkle mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan evenly.
  5. Bake
    • Bake 10–13 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Finish
    • Garnish with parsley, basil, or extra Parmesan.
    • Slice and serve hot.

Tips

  • Extra garlic: Add roasted garlic or sprinkle garlic powder on top.
  • Crispier crust: Brush crust edge with olive oil before baking.
  • White pizza twist: Swap cream for ricotta dollops.
  • Cheese pull: Let pizza rest 2 minutes before slicing.
