Here’s an easy, tender Slow Cooker Salmon recipe—perfect when you want hands-off cooking without drying the fish 🐟✨


Slow Cooker Salmon (Moist & Flaky)

Ingredients

  • 1½–2 lbs salmon fillet (skin on or off)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp paprika or Old Bay (optional)
  • Fresh dill or parsley (optional)
  • ¼ cup water, broth, or white wine

Instructions

  1. Prep the Slow Cooker
    • Lightly grease the insert or line with parchment/foil.
    • Pour water or broth into the bottom.
  2. Season the Salmon
    • Place salmon in the slow cooker.
    • Drizzle with olive oil or butter.
    • Sprinkle with garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
    • Lay lemon slices on top.
  3. Cook
    • Cover and cook on LOW for 1½–2 hours
    • Salmon is done when it flakes easily and reaches 145°F (63°C).
  4. Finish & Serve
    • Garnish with fresh herbs.
    • Serve with rice, potatoes, or steamed vegetables.

Flavor Variations

  • Honey Garlic: Add 2 tbsp honey + 1 tbsp soy sauce.
  • Teriyaki: Use teriyaki sauce instead of broth.
  • Creamy Lemon: Add ¼ cup cream and extra lemon zest during the last 30 minutes.
  • Mediterranean: Add olives, cherry tomatoes, and oregano.

Tips for Best Results

  • Don’t overcook—salmon cooks faster than most slow cooker meals.
  • Keep salmon in one piece if possible for juiciness.
