Pineapple bliss bars

Posted on January 18, 2026 by Admin

Ah, Pineapple Bliss Bars—sweet, tangy, and perfect for dessert or a snack. These bars usually have a buttery crust, a sweet pineapple filling, and a crumble or streusel topping. Here’s a classic recipe:

Pineapple Bliss Bars Recipe

Ingredients

Crust & Topping

  • 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup (100 g) sugar
  • 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt

Filling

  • 1 can (20 oz / 565 g) crushed pineapple, drained
  • ¼ cup (50 g) sugar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker filling)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in flour and salt until a crumbly dough forms.
  4. Press about 2/3 of the dough evenly into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.

Step 2: Make the Filling

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine drained pineapple, sugar, and cornstarch (if using).
  2. Cook, stirring, until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  4. Spread pineapple mixture evenly over the crust.

Step 3: Add the Topping

  1. Crumble the remaining 1/3 of the dough over the pineapple layer.
  2. Press lightly so it sticks but still looks crumbly.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden brown on top.
  2. Let cool completely in the pan, then cut into bars.

💡 Tips for Pineapple Bliss Bars:

  • For extra flavor, add ½ tsp cinnamon or nutmeg to the crust.
  • You can also sprinkle chopped toasted coconut on top before baking for a tropical twist.
  • These bars store well in an airtight container for up to a week, and flavors actually improve after a day.

If you want, I can also give a no-bake pineapple bliss bars version that’s creamy and ready in 20 minutes—great for quick summer treats.

Do you want me to give that version too?
