Creamy Baked Chicken
Ingredients
- 4–6 chicken thighs or breasts (bone-in or boneless)
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
Creamy Sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, but great)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)
Optional Add-ins
- Mushrooms, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes
- Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Sear (optional but recommended):
Heat oil in a skillet, sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side until golden. - Make sauce:
In the same pan, sauté garlic briefly.
Stir in cream, broth, Parmesan, Dijon, and cornstarch (if using). Simmer 2–3 minutes. - Bake:
Place chicken in a baking dish, pour sauce over.
Cover and bake 25–30 minutes (boneless) or 35–40 minutes (bone-in). - Finish:
