Air fryer egg toast

Posted on January 11, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a quick and tasty way to make Air Fryer Egg Toast—crispy on the outside, soft and eggy on the inside 🍳🍞

Air Fryer Egg Toast

Ingredients (serves 1–2)

  • 2 slices of bread (your choice: white, whole wheat, sourdough)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1–2 tsp butter or cooking spray
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, herbs (chives, parsley), avocado, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer
    Set to 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the bread
Spread a thin layer of butter on each slice. Optional: use a knife or spoon to make a slight indentation in the center to hold the egg.
  3. Crack the eggs
Carefully crack one egg onto each slice of bread. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Air fry
Place the bread slices in the air fryer basket (avoid overlapping).
Cook for 6–8 minutes, depending on how runny you like your yolk. Check around 5 minutes to ensure they’re not overcooking.
  5. Optional: add cheese
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the egg in the last 1–2 minutes of cooking for a melty topping.
  6. Serve immediately
Top with herbs, avocado slices, or hot sauce as desired.

Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Egg Toast

  • Use thicker bread to prevent sogginess.
  • Lightly spray or butter the air fryer basket if sticking occurs.
  • For extra crisp edges, brush the bread lightly with oil before cooking.
  • You can also make multiple slices at once, but leave space between them.

If you want, I can also give a “loaded breakfast” version with cheese, bacon, and veggies that comes out perfectly in the air fryer.

Do you want me to do that version too?
