Here’s a delicious Cinnamon Swirl Apple Fritter Bread recipe — soft, moist, and full of warm apple-cinnamon flavor, just like an apple fritter but in loaf form 🍎🍞

🍏 Cinnamon Swirl Apple Fritter Bread

Ingredients

For the bread:

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1½ tsp baking powder

  • ½ cup milk (whole or 2%)

For the apple mixture:

  • 2 small or 1 large apple, peeled and diced (about 1 cup; Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

For the cinnamon swirl:

  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

For the glaze (optional but recommended):

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1–2 tbsp milk or cream

  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

🧁 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare the apple mixture:

    • In a small bowl, mix diced apples with 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Set aside.

  3. Make the cinnamon swirl:

    • In another small bowl, mix brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon.

  4. Make the batter:

    • Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

    • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

    • Combine flour and baking powder; add alternately with milk until just combined (don’t overmix).

  5. Assemble:

    • Pour half of the batter into the pan.

    • Add half the apple mixture and sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar swirl.

    • Add remaining batter on top, then the rest of the apples and cinnamon-sugar swirl.

    • Gently swirl through the batter with a knife or skewer for a marbled effect.

  6. Bake:

    • Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

    • Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

  7. Glaze:

    • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

    • Drizzle over cooled bread.

🍂 Tips & Variations

  • Add ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.

  • Substitute half the apples with diced pears for a fall twist.

  • Great served warm with a bit of butter or alongside coffee.
