Steak & Shrimp Jerk Pasta
Ingredients
Protein
- 8 oz steak (sirloin or ribeye works well)
- 8 oz shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 1–2 tbsp jerk seasoning (adjust for spice level)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
Pasta & Sauce
- 10 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt & black pepper to taste
Optional
- Bell peppers or spinach
- Red pepper flakes
- Fresh parsley or green onions
Instructions
- Cook the pasta
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside. - Season the steak & shrimp
Toss steak and shrimp separately with jerk seasoning. - Cook the steak
Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness).
Remove, rest, then slice. - Cook the shrimp
In the same pan, cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink.
Remove and set aside. - Make the sauce
Lower heat to medium. Add butter, red onion, and garlic.
Sauté until soft and fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream, add paprika, salt, and pepper.
Simmer 3–5 minutes, then stir in Parmesan until smooth. - Combine
Add pasta, steak, and shrimp to the sauce.
Toss gently until everything is coated. - Finish & serve
Garnish with parsley or green onions. Add extra jerk seasoning if desired.
Tips
- Want it spicier? Add extra jerk seasoning or chili flakes
- Want it lighter? Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream
- Works great with chicken instead of steak too
