Caramel Apple Dump Cake

Here’s a simple, cozy Caramel Apple Dump Cake recipe—great for fall or anytime you want an easy dessert 🍎🍰

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (21 oz each) apple pie filling
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 box yellow or spice cake mix
  • ¾ cup (1½ sticks) butter, melted
  • Optional toppings:
    • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
    • Cinnamon (½–1 tsp)
    • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Spread apple pie filling evenly in the dish.
  4. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples.
  5. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly on top (don’t mix).
  6. Pour melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  7. If using, add nuts and a light sprinkle of cinnamon.
  8. Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Tips & Variations

  • Use spice cake mix for extra fall flavor
  • Add fresh sliced apples (1–2 cups) for more texture
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and extra caramel drizzle
