Shrimp Crab Melts 🦐🦀🧀
A warm, cheesy seafood sandwich that’s rich, savory, and perfect for lunch, dinner, or appetizers—think classic tuna melt, but elevated with shrimp and crab.

Shrimp Crab Melts Recipe

Ingredients (4 melts)

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 1 cup crab meat (lump or claw, picked clean)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onion or celery
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
  • 4 slices bread (sourdough or white)
  • Butter for toasting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven broiler (or toaster oven)
  2. Mix shrimp, crab, mayo, lemon juice, mustard, onion, salt, and pepper
  3. Spread mixture evenly on bread slices
  4. Top generously with cheese
  5. Broil 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly
  6. Lightly butter bottoms of bread and toast in a pan if you want extra crunch

Tips & Variations

  • Extra rich: Add a spoon of cream cheese to the seafood mixture
  • Spicy: Mix in Old Bay + a dash of hot sauce
  • Open-faced or sandwich-style: Works great either way
  • Appetizer version: Serve on baguette slices or English muffins

Serving Ideas

  • With a green salad
  • Tomato soup
  • Pickles or coleslaw

If you want, I can give you a New Orleans–style version, a low-carb option, or turn these into air-fryer melts.
