Here’s a tasty recipe for Spicy Garlic Beef Croquettes—crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside 🥩🧄🔥

Spicy Garlic Beef Croquettes

Ingredients

For the filling

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1–2 tsp chili flakes (adjust for spice)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (optional)

For the coating

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1–2 cups breadcrumbs

For frying

  • Vegetable oil (enough for shallow frying)

Instructions

  1. Cook the filling
    • Heat a pan over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
    • Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned.
    • Stir in chili flakes, paprika, soy/Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook 2–3 more minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
    • Optional: stir in chopped parsley or cilantro.
  2. Shape the croquettes
    • Take about 2 tablespoons of the filling and shape into small oval or round patties.
  3. Coat
    • Dredge each croquette in flour, dip into beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
    • Repeat until all croquettes are coated.
  4. Fry
    • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Fry croquettes 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
    • Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve
    • Serve hot with dipping sauce (spicy mayo, garlic aioli, or sweet chili sauce).

Tips

  • For extra crunch, double-coat by repeating the egg and breadcrumb step.
  • You can bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes instead of frying.
  • Mix in cheese (like mozzarella) for a gooey surprise inside.

I can also give a mini hand-held version perfect for parties if you want bite-sized croquettes. Do you want me to do that?
