Posted on December 28, 2025January 30, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a rich but simple garlic butter lobster and scallops recipe—restaurant-style, but easy at home.

Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops

Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails (or lobster meat, chopped)
  • 8–12 sea scallops, patted very dry
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Paprika (optional, for color)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prep seafood
    • Season lobster and scallops lightly with salt, pepper, and a pinch of paprika.
    • Make sure scallops are very dry for good browning.
  2. Sear scallops
    • Heat olive oil + 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add scallops and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
    • Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook lobster
    • In the same pan, add another 1 tbsp butter.
    • Add lobster and cook 2–4 minutes, until opaque and just cooked through.
    • Remove and set aside with scallops.
  4. Make garlic butter sauce
    • Lower heat to medium.
    • Add remaining butter and garlic. Cook 30–45 seconds (don’t brown).
    • Stir in lemon juice and zest.
  5. Combine
    • Return lobster and scallops to the pan.
    • Spoon garlic butter over everything and heat 1 minute.
    • Finish with parsley.

Serving Ideas

  • Over steakhouse mashed potatoes
  • With buttered pasta or rice
  • Alongside asparagus or green beans
  • With warm crusty bread to soak up the sauce

If you want, I can help you turn this into a surf-and-turf, cream sauce version, or oven-broiled lobster with pan-seared scallops.
