Chocolate chip cookie

Ah, a classic chocolate chip cookie! 🍪 Let’s go with a simple, chewy version that’s easy to make at home.

Ingredients (makes about 24 cookies):

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • Âľ cup granulated sugar
  • Âľ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ÂĽ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake 9–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden but centers are soft.
  9. Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
