Here’s a simple and delicious Fruit Custard recipe—creamy, sweet, and full of fresh fruit:

Ingredients (serves 2–3)

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp custard powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional, if custard powder is plain)
  • 1 cup mixed fruits (apple, banana, papaya, grapes, pomegranate, etc.), chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix custard powder:
    • In a small bowl, take 2 tbsp custard powder and mix with 1/4 cup cold milk to make a smooth slurry.
  2. Heat milk:
    • In a saucepan, bring the remaining milk to a boil.
    • Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Cook custard:
    • Reduce heat to low. Slowly pour the custard slurry into the hot milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
    • Cook for 2–3 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract if using.
  4. Cool the custard:
    • Let the custard cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour if you prefer it chilled.
  5. Add fruit:
    • Just before serving, add the chopped fruits to the custard and mix gently.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve chilled or at room temperature in bowls or glasses. Optionally, garnish with nuts like almonds or cashews.

✅ Tips:

  • Use fresh, firm fruits to keep them from getting mushy in the custard.
  • You can use milk alternatives (almond, soy, or coconut milk) for a dairy-free version.
  • For a richer custard, replace 1/4 cup of milk with cream.

  • If you want, I can also give a quick 5-minute microwave fruit custard version that’s super fast and still creamy. Do you want me to share that?
