Here’s a classic Christmas gumdrop nougat candy recipe—soft, sweet, and perfect for holiday trays 🎄🍬

Christmas Gumdrop Nougat Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
  • 1½ cups white chocolate chips or vanilla baking chips
  • 1½ cups red and green gumdrops, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work best)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Line a pan (8×8 or 9×9 inch) with parchment or wax paper and lightly butter it.
  2. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  3. Add marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in white chocolate chips until melted.
  5. Mix in vanilla (if using), gumdrops, and nuts.
  6. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours, until firm.
  8. Lift out, cut into squares, and dust lightly with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.

Tips

  • Lightly coat your knife with powdered sugar for cleaner cuts.
  • For extra color, use spice gumdrops without the sugar coating.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
