Pico de gallo

Fresh pico de gallo is simple, bright, and packed with flavor 🌮🍅 Here’s a classic, authentic-style recipe:


Pico de Gallo

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe Roma tomatoes, finely diced
  • ½ small white onion, finely diced
  • 1–2 jalapeños, seeded and minced (adjust heat to taste)
  • ÂĽ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1–2 limes
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prep ingredients: Dice tomatoes, onion, jalapeños, and chop cilantro evenly.
  2. Mix: Combine everything in a bowl.
  3. Season: Add lime juice and salt. Stir gently.
  4. Rest: Let sit 10–15 minutes to let flavors blend.
  5. Serve: Best served fresh with chips, tacos, or grilled meats.

đź’ˇ Tips:

  • Remove tomato seeds for less watery pico.
  • White onion is traditional, but red onion works too.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic or cumin.
  • Taste again before serving—salt makes a big difference.
