Classic Banana Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 (5 oz) box instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (12 oz) box Nilla wafers
  • 4–5 ripe bananas, sliced

Instructions:

  1. Make the pudding: In a large bowl, whisk together instant pudding and cold milk. Let it set for about 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in flavors: Stir in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Whip the cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold it gently into the pudding mixture.
  4. Layer the dessert: In a large dish, layer Nilla wafers, banana slices, and pudding. Repeat until ingredients are gone, ending with pudding on top.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is even better) so the flavors meld and the wafers soften.
  6. Optional topping: Add crushed wafers or whipped cream before serving.
