Here’s a classic Baked Creamy Corn Casserole 🌽
It’s easy, comforting, and great as a side dish for family dinners or holidays.

🌽 Baked Creamy Corn Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) cream-style corn
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for a slightly sweet taste)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix: In a large bowl, combine both cans of corn, sour cream, melted butter, cheese, and egg.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Stir in cornmeal, sugar (if using), salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Bake: Pour mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Cook: Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until set in the center and lightly golden on top.
  6. Cool & serve: Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

Variations

  • Extra cheesy: Sprinkle more cheese on top during the last 10 minutes.
  • Savory twist: Add chopped green onions or a pinch of garlic powder.
  • Spicy: Mix in a small amount of mild green chiles or a pinch of paprika.
  • No cornmeal: Substitute with crushed crackers or breadcrumbs for a softer texture.
