-
2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or to taste)
-
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Fresh lettuce leaves (optional)
π³ Instructions
-
Cook bacon:
-
In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy, about 4β5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
-
Alternatively, you can bake the bacon at 400Β°F (200Β°C) for 15β20 minutes on a lined baking sheet.
-
-
Toast bread:
-
While the bacon cooks, toast the bread slices to your desired level of crispiness.
-
-
Assemble the sandwich:
-
Spread mayonnaise (and mustard if using) on one or both slices of bread.
-
Layer tomato slices on one slice of bread, then season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
-
Add crispy bacon on top of the tomatoes.
-
If using, add a layer of fresh lettuce.
-
-
Serve:
-
Top with the second slice of bread, cut in half, and serve immediately.
-
β Tips:
-
For an extra touch of flavor, use bacon aioli instead of regular mayo.
-
Add avocado slices for extra creaminess and richness.
-
Make it a BLT by adding some fresh leafy lettuce.
