πŸ₯ͺ Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 4 slices of your favorite bread (white, whole wheat, sourdough, or even a toasted baguette)

  • 4 slices of crispy bacon

  • 1 large ripe tomato, sliced

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh lettuce leaves (optional)


🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook bacon:

    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy, about 4–5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

    • Alternatively, you can bake the bacon at 400Β°F (200Β°C) for 15–20 minutes on a lined baking sheet.

  2. Toast bread:

    • While the bacon cooks, toast the bread slices to your desired level of crispiness.

  3. Assemble the sandwich:

    • Spread mayonnaise (and mustard if using) on one or both slices of bread.

    • Layer tomato slices on one slice of bread, then season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

    • Add crispy bacon on top of the tomatoes.

    • If using, add a layer of fresh lettuce.

  4. Serve:

    • Top with the second slice of bread, cut in half, and serve immediately.

  • For an extra touch of flavor, use bacon aioli instead of regular mayo.
