Slow Cooker Candied Pecans

Here’s an easy slow cooker candied pecans recipe 🌰🍯—perfect for snacking, salads, or desserts.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the slow cooker:
    • Lightly spray the slow cooker insert with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Mix ingredients:
    • In a bowl, combine pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
    • Stir until nuts are evenly coated.
  3. Cook:
    • Pour the mixture into the slow cooker.
    • Cook on low for 1–1.5 hours, stirring every 20 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Cool and separate:
    • Once the sugar is melted and nuts are caramelized, spread pecans on parchment paper to cool.
    • Break apart any clusters once cooled.

Tips

  • For extra crunch, cook uncovered.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–2 weeks.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne or chili powder for a sweet-spicy twist.
