Posted on December 23, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a Heavenly Banana Walnut Cream Cake recipe—soft, moist banana layers, crunchy walnuts, and a light cream frosting. It’s rich but not too heavy 🍌🌰✨

Heavenly Banana Walnut Cream Cake

Ingredients

Banana Walnut Cake

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup sugar (white or light brown)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk or buttermilk
  • ¾ cup chopped walnuts

Cream Frosting

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Make the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C / 350°F. Grease and flour two 8-inch round pans (or one deep pan).
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, oil/butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add mashed bananas and mix well.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the banana mixture. Mix gently.
  6. Fold in walnuts.
  7. Pour into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely before frosting.

2. Make the Cream Frosting

  1. Beat cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy.
  3. Slowly add cold whipping cream and beat until fluffy and spreadable.

3. Assemble

  • Spread frosting between layers and over the top.
  • Optional: garnish with banana slices, walnuts, or a light honey drizzle.

Tips for Extra “Heavenly” Flavor

  • Toast the walnuts lightly before adding them 🌰
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the batter
  • Chill the cake for 30 minutes before serving for cleaner slices
