Honey Teriyaki Ribs

Here’s a simple, teen-friendly Honey Teriyaki Ribs recipe you can make in the oven (no grill needed). 🍯🍖

Honey Teriyaki Ribs (Oven-Baked)

Ingredients

Ribs

  • 2–3 lb pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • Salt & pepper
  • Garlic powder (optional)

Honey Teriyaki Sauce

  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (or ½ tsp ground ginger)

Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs
    • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
    • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if it’s there.
    • Season lightly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Bake low & slow
    • Wrap ribs tightly in foil.
    • Place on a baking tray and bake for 2–2½ hours until tender.
  3. Make the sauce
    • In a small saucepan, mix all sauce ingredients.
    • Simmer on low for 5–7 minutes, stirring until slightly thick.
  4. Glaze & caramelize
    • Increase oven to 425°F (220°C).
    • Unwrap ribs, brush generously with sauce.
    • Bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes, flipping once and brushing more sauce, until sticky and caramelized.
  5. Rest & serve
    • Let rest 5 minutes, slice, and enjoy!

Optional Add-Ons

  • Sprinkle sesame seeds or chopped green onions on top
  • Add a pinch of chili flakes for mild heat
  • Serve with rice, coleslaw, or corn 🌽
