Juicy steak with creamy garlic sauce

Posted on December 19, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a simple, restaurant-style recipe for a juicy steak with creamy garlic sauce—rich, flavorful, and surprisingly easy to make at home.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

For the Steak:

  • 2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or filet; ~8 oz each)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for extra richness)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Steak:

  • Pat steaks dry with paper towels.
  • Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

2. Cook the Steak:

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil or butter.
  • Sear steaks 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) for medium-rare.
  • Remove steaks from the pan and let them rest while you make the sauce.

3. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté 30–60 seconds until fragrant (don’t burn).
  • Stir in beef broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add Parmesan cheese (if using) and stir until melted and smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Serve:

  • Pour sauce over steaks or serve on the side.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley.
  • Optional: pair with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies.

💡 Tips:

  • Letting the steak rest after cooking keeps it juicy.
  • For extra flavor, you can deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine before adding cream.
  • Use a cast-iron skillet if you have one—it gives a better sear.

If you want, I can give a faster 15-minute skillet version that’s perfect for weeknights but still creamy and delicious.

Do you want that version?
